In this episode, Karen and Burt’s European adventure takes an unexpected turn as they join the historic Little Ship Yacht Club’s cruise along the English Channel in honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Despite initial travel mishaps, they find themselves aboard the motor-yacht Strumpet, sailing past Cornwall and Devon enjoying the maritime beauty of England’s West Country.

As they sail, Karen feels an inexplicable pull toward the French coast of Brittany, where her father fought during WWII. The Little Ship Club famous for its members’ role in the Dunkirk evacuation provides a fitting backdrop for Karen’s growing connection to her father’s wartime story.

In the next episode we will take a journey back in time when Karen was a small girl living in the English countryside.
